Meet Tracey

I'm a New York City based coach, speaker, and writer. Like many in my field, my journey to coaching was rather unexpected.

After experiencing years of anxiety and depression because I hadn't achieved my life-long desire to become a professional writer, I began a two-year process of self-discovery. During that time, I diligently worked to regain happiness and to discover my life's true calling.

In that time of reflection, I began to seek out my unique writer's "voice" and started sensing that life coaching was a part of my life's path. I'd always been fascinated by stories that dove deep into our common desires and struggles (life purpose, success, failure, companionship, family dynamics, etc.). This compulsion to delve into life processes lies at the heart of coaching in that coaches serve as partners and guides in the quest of life fulfillment and goal achievement.

Although I hadn't previously given it intentional thought, I'd always been passionate about and energized by helping others reach their goals by providing them with encouragement, support, and strategies. Discovering my call as a coach not only gave me the writer's voice I was seeking, but an opportunity to help others in a way similar to how I'd done for my family and friends most of my life.

Once certain that life coaching was the proper route to take, I responded by enrolling in coach certification training courses at ICF-certified The Institute of Life Coach Training. I later founded Tracey L. Louis Coaching to work with individuals, corporations, and social services organizations to expand my mission of seeing dreams realized and goal achieved.

I consider myself especially qualified to partner with clients because I bring an intimate level of awareness and empathy for some of the issues clients may face. I have personal experience with the Quarterlife Crisis, spiritual discontentment, career dissatisfaction and the depression these issues can sometimes foster. Because I worked hard to overcome my own apathy, I am a living testament to the notions of life renewal, fulfillment, and purpose.

While I currently reside in New York, I'm a proud Southern Girl from Baton Rouge, La. I earned a B.A. in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University, home of the LSU Fighting Tigers!! My devotion to spiritual growth and making the Bible a practical tool and guide for everyday living is evidenced in how I've chosen to live my life, the ministries I support, and my work as a Bible study teacher. I also serve as an Advisory Board member for the Mary J. Blige Center in Yonkers, New York.

When choosing a coach, you want someone who will be dedicated to seeing your vision manifested, someone with integrity, and someone who is able to understand and empathize with what you may be facing. I hope that by reading through my biography, you've gotten a sense of how I, as your coach, would provide those attributes.
